Thanksgiving Weekend

For the month of November I was working at Jewish Hospital here in Downtown. It was a very busy month but was also very interesting. I was on call at that hospital over Thanksgiving so I had to stay in the area. I went to Rich and Linda Wilson's house for thanksgiving dinner. They are a couple from church that I have gotten to know. The food was excellent and the company was great. Luckly I didn't get called into the hospital that day. This month I am in the ICU which has turned out to be very busy so far. It is kind of fun but also really sad at the same time. I get to go home and see my family in January so that is what I am counting down to at this point. (which is making this month go by very slow). Happy Holidays everyone. Corvette Museum

On the way back from Nashville we stopped off at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. We spent a couple of hours walking through the self guided tour and looking at all of the vette's from over the years. There were some pretty cool cars there.

Nashville

A couple of weekends ago my parents were in Nashville for one of my moms conferences. I had the weekend off and drove down there Friday after work(Just over 2.5 hour drive). It was really good to see them. We went to centennial park where they were having a history festival. They had items from the civil war and WWII as well as a few things form the Persian gulf war. It was really interesting to see. They also had people re-enacting different fights and others re-enacting the lifestyles of the times. It was a small scale show but was pretty good. That evening we went around and heard different start up bands trying to make a name for themselves. It wasn't my favorite part of the trip since I dislike country music, but since I was in the area....! Here are a few pictures of some of the stuff at Centennial park.

Washington D.C.

I just got back from 5 days in Washington DC about a week ago. My sister and I went on a trip to DC since we had not been there before. We were going non-stop the whole time that we were there and took around 500 picts. We saw all of the monuments (during the day and at night), all of the Smithsonian's that were open (except a couple of art museums), went to the spy museum, saw money being printed, went to the Holocaust museum(amazing!), went to Arlington Cemetery with the Grave of the Unknown Soldier and JFK memorial, saw the White House (and Marine One taking off!!), saw the Pentagon from a distance (just looks like any other building from ground level), Saw the capital building and the Library of Congress and much, much more. We walked about 10-15 miles per day and took the Metro Train to the places that we could not walk to or when we were heading back from where we had walked. It was a lot of fun. We ate at a lot of great restaurants and had fun seeing the are. I am going to put a few pictures here for you to enjoy.

Jeep'n

After Boise I went up to Washington to visit family. My brother had a day off of work so we decided to hit the hills with his Jeep. It was snowing on us but that didn't stop us from getting out into it. By the time that we were got home we were dirty and sore but it was a great day in the hills.

Washington

This last week I had some time off of work so I was able to go to Boise for a couple of days to visit my Grandma and uncle Brent, Aunt Jackie and cousins Steph and Shelly. Doug and Stacey also came down for the weekend. It was a lot of fun to see them and be able to relax and visit. The weather was very nice so we decided to take my uncles boat out to Lucky Peak for the afternoon. The snow was still down to the water in some areas and the water was too cold to get in but air was warm and it was a great afternoon. The next day we went for a ride in Doug's Bellanca Cruisemaster airplane to enjoy the, yet again, nice warm day. From there I flew to Portland for the rest of my week before hitting the salt mines again.
